2020 Interview Requests are Open
The Groupie 2020 Interview Requests are now open. At Groupie., we're constantly looking for the next new artist to showcase and uplift. While we research and reach out to artists on our own, we also know we can't find everything there is. That's where our interview requests come in. If you think you make the kind of music and or art of any kind that we'd like - reach out to us. We look forward to hearing from you.
Support DIY music
Here at Groupie we're on a mission to build the most powerful tool in DIY and Wave music, but we need your help to be successful. Our goal is to support do it yourselfers on their journey to bring their music into the physical world through vvy (pronounced: V). We support touring artists though our Crash Pad Registry and with our Groupie Grants. We're also helping to advance the world of musical story telling though our project, the Small Town EP.
Crash Pad Registery
Ever wanted to host your favorite band while their on tour? Do you rush to the merch table when the opener says they need a place to stay only to find out you're the third offer. We're working to eliminate tour housing insecurity by asking the community that already wants to help, to make themselves easier for artists to find.
Our registry consists of only approved housing in towns and cities across the USA. Approved housing means we here at Groupie. feel comfortable recommending this home for artist short-term residency. These Crash Pads must meet our basic standards of habitation at Groupie. In addition, only approved artists are able the access this registry - and once accessed a host must approve the artist's stay request before the exact address is sent. Our job with vvy is to compile the best and safest information before passing it off to our artists and Crash Pads who can feel safe in the knowledge that we've done our job.
If you would like to be added as a host to our registry, or if you're an artist(s) looking to stay somewhere for free please fill out our form below to be connected.
Here at Groupie. we strive to fill in the gaps that DIY musicians are often left to leave open when touring. Founded by a Tour Manager, Groupie. understands that on tour things happen that just aren't in the budget to fix or maintain, and that's where we come in.
Qualifying artists who find themselves on a qualifying tour may apply to Groupie. for small funds to help with the ill timed emergencies. Groupie Grants start as little as $25 and go up to $150 and include anything from meal support to helping you purchase a new tire for your van. Bands and Artists can apply for a one time grant while on tour to help offset their emergency costs and Groupie. promises that if you qualify we will send funding within a 48 hour period.
Groupie Grants are funded though our sales on our site. Every time you purchase an item from our morning, boring store or attend one of our events you are helping to make sure we can support the bands you love. This is our community and everything counts.
Our Grants are currently in development with a planned roll out of January 2020. Please get in touch with us if you're in need or if you would like to help in the meantime.
