On one of the last summer nights in 2019, Pittsburgh artist and friend of the blog, Stew Frick, hosted their first solo gallery at Boom Concepts, located on a street seemingly designed for the creative minds of the city. The collection, cleverly titled "Worse for Wear," features a deeply personal look into the artist's life.
Worse for Wear, on display (and for sale) this month, ranges from hand-painted shoes to wall art and features almost everything in-between. "This has been a long time coming," says Frick on why now for the gallery.
The show explores the artist's own experience with mental health and recovery, and is taking place during a time where Frick feels they are "ready; mentally, emotionally, and talent-wise". Check out some of our photos from the night below, and check out the collection this month at Boom Concepts in Pittsburgh.
